(Wichita, KS) Corporate Lodging Consultants Inc., a provider of customized lodging programs to more than 300 corporations throughout North America, has been issued a Blanket Purchase Agreement by the United States Government to provide emergency lodging services for its agencies.
Under the program, CLC will provide federal government agencies seeking emergency lodging with managed hotel rates at properties across the United States, as well as handle administrative services for those stays. Administrative services include a 50-point electronic auditing system to check for billing accuracy, as well as consolidated billing and flexible reporting services.
"It is our privilege to work with the U.S. government to provide its employees with emergency lodging services," said George E. Hansen III, president & CEO of CLC. "Our business model of providing corporations with cost-efficient lodging and turnkey billing services has set us apart as the leader in our industry, and we look forward to benefiting the government with this expertise."
CLC has a successful history working with the federal government on other emergency lodging projects. Since August 2005, the company has provided lodging services for more than 700,000 evacuees from hurricanes Katrina and Rita, with hotel billings of more than $350 million paid through CLC and funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. During the program, room rates have averaged one-third less than the average U.S. hotel room rate, saving the government millions of dollars.
Other government agencies utilizing emergency lodging services through CLC include the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Homeland Security, the Defense Contract Management Agency, the U.S. Department of Labor and more.
